Bio
Dear Reader,
Growing up with a love for the arts and a sensitivity only music could heal, my songwriting began to find its home in combining cinematic themes and stories with personal feelings and experiences. Placed in its own genre I can best describe as baroque pop-soul, these first few songs I'm releasing are rooted in piano, swelling harmonies, and cinematic sounds.
I have a deep appreciation for finding the beauty in this world. I hope these first few songs begin to paint a picture of both the truth I’ve discovered from challenges in love, pain, and growing up, and also the hope captured from the many storybook-like places that inspire me: endless mountains, moonlit forests, cobblestone streets, and so many more. I hope to provide a healing space of relatability, the same way my favorite music artists have provided a healing space for me- carrying me through some of my most challenging times through relatable and vulnerable lyrics.
After acting and performing covers for many years, releasing my first group of songs with my own lyrics and melodies is a breath of fresh air. The past ten years I've spent studying and teaching, and I began fully pursuing my own songwriting again at the end of 2019. I have The Songwriting School of Los Angeles to thank for introducing me to my incredibly talented producer, Brent Paschke, and the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation, NYU's Clive Davis Institute, Billboard, Yellowbrick, and Golden Lotus Studio to thank for further educating me and helping me along this journey. I've found escaping into music has come back into my life quite prominently. By the end of 2020, I had produced 112 songs for several different projects, including this one. At the beginning of 2020 I knew next to nothing about music production.
All in all, here are my hopes and dreams in a nutshell. I hope to find a home for my music in movies, theatre, and television to carry on my dreams of storytelling. I hope to find a team that will help me to craft an album that is vulnerable, cinematic, and powerful. And I hope most of all to inspire and gain a following of music fans who use my songs to help them through their toughest times.
If you find these songs provide a home for you in any way, I couldn't ask for anything more.
Sending you love and hope always,
Lära
